Darran is a partner in the property finance department.  He has a wide experience of property work including secured lending, development work, commercial lettings (acting for both landlords and tenants) and residential acquisitions.

His clients include banks, property investment firms, family trusts, student housing companies and high net worth individuals (from the UK and overseas). His proactive and commercial approach to work is valued by clients to ensure quick and successful completions.  His family background of running pubs and hotels equips him with the business experience and an understanding of key concerns for clients.

Darran is referred to in the Legal 500 as prepared to go “the extra mile”.

Examples of Darran’s experience include:

  • advising a major bank in a £35,000,000 development loan in a central London location
  • dealing with numerous commercial leases for office tenants from start ups to listed companies (with a range of rents going up to £1million per annum)
  • acting for tenants of restaurants, pubs, cinemas and casinos
  • acquisitions and refinancing of large property portfolios
  • purchasing and subsequently selling a house for +£18million
  • acquiring student housing in cities across England and Wales
