Glovers Solicitors LLP recognised in Legal 500 - 2009 Edition
Glovers has achieved wide coverage in eight key practice areas in the recently published Legal 500 and can be seen continuously ranked alongside some of the largest City firms. The Legal 500 assess firms not only on size and resources, but also on the extent to which a client recommends that firm in a particular field. The recognition Glovers has received in the 2009 Edition is an independent confirmation of the increasing strength of the firm.
Our practice areas are recognised as follows:
Banking Litigation, Construction, Commercial Property (General, Development and Hotels and Leisure), Employment, Mediators, Property Litigation, Property Finance, Professional Negligence: the firm is recommended or mentioned in each of these categories.
Construction: Glovers are ranked in the Legal 500. It states that Glovers is “highly regarded for dispute resolution” and that it “presents cost-effective, comprehensive practice”. It is also states that David Miles “has a reputation for seeking alternatives to litigation in contentious matters, and possesses strong mediation skills” and that Philip Eyre “is technically sound”.
Retail Banking Litigation: The Legal 500 recognises that Glovers’ work includes “retail banking litigation”.
Commercial Property: Glovers achieved a ranking for its commercial property work. Glovers has been separately ranked for its work in commercial property, commercial property – development, and commercial property – hotels and leisure.
Employment: Glovers are also ranked in the field of employment in the Legal 500 . The Legal 500 recognises that Glovers provides “efficient, commercially aware advice”. It writes that Glovers has “excellent restaurant sector knowledge”.
Property Litigation: Glovers is recognised within this practice area with a ranking amongst London firms. The Legal 500 notes that “Edward Vaughan is an excellent litigation advisor supported by a good team”.
Property Finance: Glovers are ranked in the Legal 500. It states that Glovers’ “advice, business acumen and industry knowledge is extremely good and above all they respond to requirements efficiently and expeditiously”. It notes that “clients say they receive an excellent service”. The Legal 500 recognises that Andrew Parker’s team “is increasingly focused on recoveries and receivership sales” and that “Richard Gilchrist is also recommended”.
Mediators: Ranked amongst the top mediators who dominate the mediation marketplace is construction partner David Miles. The Legal 500 notes that “David Miles was among the first in the UK to realise the potential of mediation 20 years ago, and has been closely involved ever since” and that “he handles construction disputes and does so with good sense, sound judgment, and great finesse”.
Professional Negligence: The firm achieved a ranking for its professional negligence work.
