Increase of National Minimum Wage announced
It has just been announced that from 1 October 2009:-
• the adult National Minimum Wage will increase from £5.73 to £5.80;
• for 18-21 year olds the increase will be from £4.77 to £4.83; and
• for 16-17 year olds the increase will be from £3.53 to £3.57.
The Government also announced that the adult rate will be extended to 21-year-olds from October 2010.
