National Minimum Wage Increases announced

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has just announced the rates of the National Minimum Wage to apply from 1 October 2008:-

For workers aged 22 and over, the rate will rise from the current £5.52 per hour to £5.73.

For workers aged 18-21, it will rise from £4.60 to £4.77.

For workers aged 16 and 17 it will rise from £3.40 to £3.53.
