Employment - annual increases to Compensation Limits

Just a reminder that the annual increases to Compensation Limits will take effect from tomorrow, 1 February 2012. They apply to dismissals occurring on or after that date. 

The important increases are:-

The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will rise from £68,400 to £72,300.

The maximum on a 'week's pay' for the basic award or statutory redundancy will increase from £400 to £430.

The maximum redundancy payment and basic award will rise from £12,000 to £12,900.
